We create common-sense guides on how to fully master specific aspects of photography – from buying a camera to taking a specific kind of picture.  We want to build this site into the most extensive compendium of practical photography technique anywhere.

Photography is as much about knowing how to operate your camera in different conditions as it is about art.  We want to teach you everything you need to know about the technical side of photography to empower you to discover your capacity for art.

Shared knowledge will grow

Because of the highly technical nature of photography, there is a lot to learn.  Unfortunately, many photographers don’t want to share their detailed work flows with others for fear that others may copy the same style.  We believe exactly the opposite – the more information is shared, the more new techniques will be created.  This will benefit everyone, including the photographers sharing their techniques.
